La Neste d’Aure
Initially named Neste d'Aragnouet, it is joined by the Neste de Couplan upstream of the village of Fabian. It then takes the name of Neste d'Aure. It bathes Saint-Lary-Soulan, Arreau, Sarrancolin, ... before flowing into the Garonne at Montréjeau. 73 km of river classified in 1st category, going from 2570m altitude to 414 meters. Its length and steep slope offer it a multitude of profiles (torrentuous, wide, calm, rapid, tumbling down its gorges, etc.). Perfect for nymph fishing, it also reveals large smooth areas ideal for dry fly fishing. Punctuated by labeled leisure, tourist, children's courses and 5 NO-KILL courses, the fishing offer is complete!
La Neste du Louron
The Neste du Louron has its source on the slopes of the Batchimale massif, in the commune of Loudenvielle. On the north-eastern slope of the Schrader peak (3,174 m) the Neste de Clarabide (Aygues Tortes valley) is formed, while on the slopes of the Pic de l'Abeillé and the Pic de Lustou the Neste de la Pez is formed, the two Nestes joining at the hamlet of Pont du Prat (Pez valley) to give the Neste du Louron. Length of 32 km, it crosses the villages of Loudenvielle, Adervielle, Vielle Louron, Avajan, Bordères Louron, Cazaux-debat and Arreau.
The Neste du Louron is a mountain river that remains well fed all year round thanks to the melting snow.
La Neste du Louron is managed as a private route by the AAPPMA de la Gaule Louronnaise, from its upstream part to the entrance to Arreau. An additional tourist card is required. This fishing route is divided into three distinct parts. This diversity is part of its charm because it allows anglers to practice all styles of fishing on each of these sections.
- The downstream part extends from the Avajan dam to the bridge in the village of Cazaux Debat.
- The middle part, from the village of Avajan to the power plant of Lake Genos, is the most typical and representative part of the Pyrenean river.
- The upstream part, from Lake Génos to the Pont de Prat power station, is the most "torrential" and wildest part of the Neste and certainly the most technical to fish.
The quantity of trout populating this Neste is impressive! Numerous fish hatcheries are carried out throughout the season thanks to the fish farm managed by La Gaule Louronnaise located in Avajan.

ALTITUDE LAKES
Aubert, Aumar, Orédon, Cap de Long, l'Oule, les Bastans, Port Bielh, Campana, ... perhaps the most beautiful lakes in the Pyrenees! Accessible by car for some and after several hours of walking for others, all these lakes, natural or natural, are located in the heart of the city. dams, are perfect for practicing different fishing techniques.
